404 Not Found is an editorial archive. Screenshots are presented at reduced resolution to comment on and document web design. Copyright, trademarks, and site content remain with their respective owners. Inclusion does not imply endorsement or sponsorship.

Corrections and removal

If you own or represent a featured site and want a credit corrected, a URL updated, or a screenshot removed, use the private request form below. Nothing submitted through this form is published automatically. We review requests promptly, may ask for reasonable verification, and may temporarily hide an exhibit while a claim is assessed.

Identify the exact museum or source URL, the correction or material at issue, your relationship to it, and the result you are asking for. For a copyright notice, include the copyrighted work, the allegedly infringing material, contact information, a good-faith statement, an accuracy and authority statement under penalty of perjury, and a physical or electronic signature. Knowingly false or misleading notices may have legal consequences.

Submissions and privacy

Public submissions include a domain and anti-abuse request metadata. Submissions are stored only for moderation and publication workflow. We do not sell submitter data. Cloudflare Turnstile processes the anti-spam challenge under Cloudflare's terms.

Advertising

Paid placements are labeled. Paid outbound links use the sponsored relationship attribute. Advertisers do not receive personal visitor data from this site. Sponsors do not select, approve, rank, or edit exhibits, and a placement beside an exhibit does not imply that the featured site endorses the museum or the advertiser. We do not sell licenses to third-party screenshots.
